Unleashing a 12-hit attack against four pitchers, the Giants beat the Expos, 9-5. Jack Clark drove in four runs with a homer and a double and Darrell Evans added two RBIs with a single and sacrifice fly.

Evans' single in the fifth inning put the Giants in front, 4-3, and Clark followed with a two-base hit that made it 5-3. In the seventh, the Giants got four runs on two walks, a double by Johnnie LeMaster, Evans' sacrifice fly and Clark's three-run homer. [The Sporting News]
