. . . where the 1970s live forever!

The Twins handed the Indians their seventh defeat in the last 10 games, 8-2. Two runs came in the first inning on a double by Willie Norwood, single by Rod Carew, an infield out and a single by Jose Morales.

The Twins added three more in the third, and Dan Ford slugged a two-run homer to cap a three-run fourth frame. Norwood singled and Carew doubled to open the inning and knock out starter David Clyde. Reliever Al Fitzmorris uncorked a wild pitch to score Norwood before Ford unloaded his homer. [The Sporting News]
