Stretching their winning streak to eight games, the Brewers beat the Blue Jays in both ends of a doubleheader, 7-5 and 5-0. In the opener, the score was 4-4 going into the top of ninth when Jim Gantner drew a one-out walk. A double by Paul Molitor drove in Gantner, and Molitor scored on a single by Dave May. A double by Larry Hisle plated May.

In the nightcap, the Brewer attack was led by Jim Wohlford, who singled, doubled and tripled. Wohlford highlighted a three-run third inning when he smacked a two-run triple after a walk to Larry Hisle and double by Sixto Lezcano. [The Sporting News]
