. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Although there was only a one hit difference in their totals, the Indians overwhelmed the Blue Jays, 12-3, with an attack that included the first grand slam of Gary Alexander's major league career. The Indians collected 15 hits to 14 for the Blue Jays.

Buddy Bell hit a triple and two singles for the Indians, accounting for three runs, and Jim Norris also produced three with a single and a pair of sacrifice flies. The Indians knocked out Jim Clancy while scoring four runs in the third inning. Mike Willis was whacked for five runs in the fourth. [The Sporting News]
