Homers by Rowland Office, Gary Matthews and Bob Horner paced the Braves to a 5-2 victory over the Dodgers. Office and Matthews belted back-to-back clouts in the first inning.

After the Dodgers tied the game, 2-2, in the top of the fifth on a homer by Rick Monday, the Braves went ahead in their turn on a double by Dale Murphy and single by Adrian Devine.
