After the Mets scored six runs in the top of the fifth inning, the Cubs got six in their half, with Dave Rader's bases-loaded pinch-hit homer being the big blow, and went on to outlast the Mets, 10-9. The Mets' big inning was highlighted by a three-run pinch-homer by Ed Kranepool and two-run round-tripper by Willie Montanez.
