A five-hitter by Gary Serum stopped the Brewers as the Twins posted a 7-2 victory. The Twins scored two runs in the second inning on consecutive singles by Larry Wolfe, Roy Smalley, Butch Wynegar and Bombo Rivera, and plated another pair in the third on singles by Dan Ford and Jose Morales, an infield out and a single by Wolfe. After walks to Rivera and Rod Carew, Ford slugged a double for the Twins' final two markers in the sixth inning. [The Sporting News] |
