A home run and triple by Greg Luzinski highlighted the Phillies' 7-5 victory over the Mets. The triple came in the fourth inning and drove in Garry Maddox, who had walked, with the Phillies' first run. After Luzinski scored on a single by Jose Cardenal, the Phils went on to add two more tallies in the inning to tie the score at 4-4.

The Phils went ahead in the sixth when Cardenal singled, Davey Johnson walked and Barry Foote singled to load the bases. A single by Ted Sizemore scored Cardenal and pinch-hitter Bud Harrelson drew a walk to force home Johnson. Luzinski's homer was a solo blast and came in the seventh stanza. [The Sporting News]
