Completing the three-game series sweep, the Brewers rolled past the Yankees, 8-4. Don Gullett issued four walks in the first inning and the Brewers used them to score four runs. Singles by Don Money and Sal Bando preceded walks to Larry Hisle and Sixto Lezcano, forcing in one tally. One out later, a double by Robin Yount drove in two more and Gullett walked Gorman Thomas and Buck Martinez to force home the fourth marker.

A single by Dick Davis added a run in the fifth inning and a sacrifice fly by Davis, throwing error by Paul Blair and double by Thomas gave the Brewers their final three runs in the seventh. [The Sporting News]
