. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Backed by a 12-hit attack, John Henry Johnson pitched the A's to a 5-3 victory over the Mariners. RBI singles by Jeff Newman and Dave Revering gave the A's a pair of runs in the first inning. A single by Mitchell Page, stolen base and single by Willie Horton made it 3-0 in the third.

The A's got two more in the fourth on a single by Rob Picciolo, triple by Taylor Duncan and single by Page. Fourth-inning doubles by Roy Howell and Otto Velez scored the Jays' first run and they added two more in the sixth on a single by Velez, a walk and a triple by Dave McKay. [The Sporting News]
