. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A wild pitch capped a three-run second inning as the Tigers' outlasted the Blue Jays, 3-2. Steve Kemp led off the Tiger second with a walk, advanced to third on a single by Tim Corcoran and scored on a double by Phil Mankowski. A walk to Alan Trammell loaded the bases, and a sacrifice fly by Ron LeFlore knocked in the tying tally. Losing pitcher Jim Clancy then heaved a wild pitch for the eventual winning run. Rick Bosetti stole home for the Jays' first run and a sacrifice fly by Bob Bailor produced their other marker. [The Sporting News]
