. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Two-run homers by Bobby Bonds and Juan Beniquez helped power the Rangers to an 8-2 victory over the Indians and enabled Jon Matlack to win a game on the road for the first time this season. The decision brought Matlack's record to 10-9, but the lefthander was 0-7 away from home before beating the Indians. Bonds hit his a homer in the fourth inning and drove in another run with a double in the seventh. Beniquez connected for the circuit in the eighth. [The Sporting News]
