Daring baserunning gave the Blue Jays a 3-2, 10-inning triumph over the Royals. Otto Velez then grounded to third baseman Jamie Quirk, who tossed to second baseman U.L. Washington for a forceout on Carty. Bailor, after reaching third, kept running and scored ahead of Washington's throw to the plate.
