Tight pitching by Gary Serum and Roger Erickson enabled the Twins to post a doubleheader sweep over the A's, 3-1 and 2-1. In the first game, singles by Dan Ford, Mike Cubbage and Glenn Adams in the second inning produced the Twins' initial run.
