Two homers by Dave Parker and one by Bill Robinson helped power the Pirates to a 13-2 rout of the Reds. Parker blasted a two-run round-tripper in the first inning and added a three-run circuit clout in the seventh, giving him seven homers in his last nine games.

With the score tied, 2-2, in the fifth and a runner on second, Parker was intentionally passed to get at Robinson. But Robinson spoiled the strategy by smashing a three-run homer. [The Sporting News]
