. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A grand-slam home run by Steve Kemp highlighted the Tigers' 9-5 triumph over the Indians. The big blow came in the first inning and gave the Tigers a 4-2 lead. But the Indians came back and eventually tied the score at 5-5 in the top of the third. Milt May broke the deadlock by leading off the Tigers' half of the third with a home run. May also drove in a run with a double in the sixth and Kemp lashed a two-run double in the same stanza. [The Sporting News]
