Gary Serum provided the right pitching medicine for the Twins with a two-hitter in a 5-0 victory over the Blue Jays. The Twins settled the issue on loser Jerry Garvin's first delivery of the game when Willie Norwood connected for a homer. A single by Rod Carew, triple by Dan Ford and single by Butch Wynegar added two runs before the inning ended. Bombo Rivera homered in the second. The Twins' last run came in the sixth on a bases-loaded walk to Ford by Blue Jay reliever Joe Coleman. [The Sporting News] |
