Taking advantage of four Montreal errors, the Dodgers prevailed over the Expos, 4-2, behind the pitching of Burt Hooton and Charlie Hough. In the second inning, Ron Cey doubled, Dusty Baker walked and Rick Monday lashed a single that scored Cey.

The ball got past left fielder Warren Cromartie and Baker also scored when the relay throw by shortstop Chris Speier got by catcher Gary Carter. In the sixth stanza, Baker singled, went to second on an error by second baseman Dave Cash and scored on an errant throw by right fielder Ellis Valentine. [The Sporting News]
