A leadoff homer by Andre Thornton in the 11th inning capped a comeback by the Indians, giving them a 9-8 victory over the Brewers. The Tribe trailed at one stage, 8-3, but rallied and eventually tied the game in the ninth. In that inning, Thornton and Gary Alexander walked, Ron Pruitt sacrificed and Duane Kuiper grounded out, scoring Thornton. Alexander had a two-run single in the third and a three-run homer in the seventh.
