A three-run homer by Jim Sundberg in the 10th inning carried the Rangers to a 4-1 victory over the Twins. The game was 1-1 entering the 10th when Al Oliver opened with a single, Bobby Bonds beat out a bunt and Richie Zisk sacrificed to set the stage for Sundberg's drive into the right-center bullpen.
