. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A three-run homer by Gary Matthews lifted the Braves to a 4-3 victory over the Cubs. The Braves trailed, 3-1, going into the bottom of the seventh inning when Jerry Royster drew a one-out walk and Bob Beall singled to kayo Cub starter Rick Reuschel. Lynn McGlothen relieved and was greeted by Matthews' homer. [The Sporting News]
