A four-run explosion in the ninth inning carried the Mariners to a 5-3 triumph over the White Sox. The Mariners trailed, 3-1, going into the ninth and got their first run on a one-out homer by Bruce Bochte. One out later, Dan Meyer singled to center and scored on a triple by Bill Stein. Bob Stinson then belted a home run to score Stein and cap the winning rally. [The Sporting News]
