. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Held to one hit in the first five innings, the Angels erupted for seven runs in the sixth and beat the Rangers, 7-6. Ranger starter Doc Medich was breezing with a 6-0 lead when consecutive singles by Bobby Grich, Jim Anderson and Rick Miller loaded the bases in the sixth.

A groundout by Carney Lansford chased one run home and a single by Lyman Bostock plated two more and sent Medich to the showers. Reliever Reggie Cleveland was greeted by a home run off the bat of Don Baylor. Joe Rudi then stroked a single and Ron Fairly followed with a homer over the right field fence. [The Sporting News]
