Home runs by Steve Kemp, Ron LeFlore and Rusty Staub powered the Tigers to a 7-4 triumph over the Yankees. LeFlore doubled in the first inning and after Staub drew a one-out walk, Kemp belted a three-run round-tripper. LeFlore led off the third with a circuit clout and, one out later, Staub drilled the ball into the upper deck in right field. [The Sporting News]
