The pitching and batting of Paul Moskau carried the Reds to a 7-1 victory over the Giants, lifting Cincinnati to second place in the West division, one-half game ahead of San Francisco. The Reds' righthander unfurled a four-hitter and had the big blow of the game, hitting a double with the bases loaded and two out in the seventh inning. He also had an RBI single in the ninth.
