The Braves erupted for five runs in the fourth inning and added three more on homers by Gary Matthews, Bob Horner and Glenn Hubbard in the fifth to defeat the Reds, 8-1. Hubbard's homer was the first of his major league career. The rookie second baseman also hit a two-run double to feature the Braves' outburst in the fourth. [The Sporting News]
