After failing to hold a 3-0 lead, the Twins came back to defeat the Royals, 6-4. The Royals pulled even at 3-3 in the sixth inning, but Dan Ford smashed a tie-breaking homer in the Twins' half. The Twins then posted their winning margin in the eighth, with one run scoring on a single by Butch Wynegar and the other on left fielder Steve Braun's second error of the game. Tom Poquette hit a homer to no avail for the Royals in the ninth. [The Sporting News]
