Keeping their slim pennant hopes alive, the Pirates defeated the Cubs, 7-4, as Dave Parker, Omar Moreno and Frank Taveras drove in two runs apiece. Parker collected a single, double and triple, driving in one run with a first-inning double and another with a triple in the fifth frame.
