Breaking a 3-3 tie in the eighth inning, the Rangers topped the Mariners, 4-3. Bobby Bonds drew a walk to open the eighth, bringing on Enrique Romo in relief of Shane Rawley. A walk to Johnny Grubb and single by Al Oliver loaded the sacks. One out later, Bonds scored when Jim Sundberg bounced into a forceout. [The Sporting News]
