The Mariners set club records for most runs scored in one inning and most in one game while hammering the Angels, 14-6, for their second straight victory. After Bruce Bochte hit a two-run homer off Nolan Ryan in the first inning, the Mariners exploded for nine runs in the second in the greatest scoring outburst in their history. Bill Stein homered with two men on base and Julio Cruz, who batted twice during the stanza, also drove in three runs with a single and double. [The Sporting News]
