. . . where the 1970s live forever!
With last-out help from Elias Sosa, Ross Grimsley pitched the Expos to a 2-0 victory, continuing the lefthander's mastery of the Cubs whom he defeated for the fourth straight time, including three decisions last season.

The Expos scored both their runs off Rick Reuschel in the sixth inning, starting with a homer by Andre Dawson. Rodney Scott followed with a single, Warren Cromartie was safe on a bunt and, after a double steal and an intentional pass to Tony Perez, Gary Carter added an insurance run with a sacrifice fly.
