With Francisco Barrios and Mike Proly combining on a three-hitter, the White Sox defeated the Blue Jays, 6-1. The White Sox took the lead in the third inning when Greg Pryor drove in a run with a triple and scored on a grounder by Claudell Washington, who eventually also scored on a single by Wayne Nordhagen. Chet Lemon had an RBI double in the fifth frame and the White Sox added two more runs in the ninth driven home on a double by Nordhagen and single by Eric Soderholm. [The Sporting News]
