Driving in four runs, Gary Alexander sparked the Indians to a 6-4 triumph over the Rangers. After the Rangers took a 4-3 lead in the top of the seventh inning on a sacrifice fly by Bump Wills, Alexander pumped a three-run homer off reliever Sparky Lyle in the bottom of the frame for the Indians' first victory over the Rangers in 14 games.
