With an error by Phil Garner paving the way, the Astros scored in the ninth inning to defeat the Pirates, 5-4. Craig Reynolds opened the inning by grounding to Garner and reached third base on his throwing error. The Pirates then walked Cesar Cedeno and Enos Cabell intentionally, but Jeff Leonard batted for Rafael Landestoy and hit a sacrifice fly to plate the winning run. [The Sporting News]
