Homers by Fred Lynn, Jim Rice and Dwight Evans marked the Red Sox' 10-hit attack in a 10-4 victory over the Royals, who went down to their fourth straight defeat. Before the sluggers went into action, the Red Sox broke a 2-2 tie with a two-run single by Jerry Remy in the fourth inning. Lynn hit his seventh homer of the season in the fifth.
