. . . where the 1970s live forever!
Coming from behind, the Cubs scored three runs in the sixth inning and edged the Expos, 4-3. Andre Dawson hit a triple and double and scored twice to help the Expos take a 3-1 lead before the Cubs rallied. Steve Ontiveros led off the sixth with a single and scored on a triple by Mike Vail. A pinch-single by Larry Biittner plated Vail and tied the score.

After Ted Sizemore sacrificed and Bobby Murcer was handed an intentional pass, Ivan DeJesus singled to drive in the deciding run. Bruce Sutter gained his fourth save, all of them coming in the Cubs' last four victories. [The Sporting News]
