Posting their fourth consecutive victory, the Cubs topped the Expos, 4-1, behind the six-hit pitching of Rick Reuschel. Dave Kingman blasted a two-run homer in the fourth inning following a leadoff single by Scot Thompson, and the Cubs added two more runs in the seventh on a sacrifice fly by Bobby Murcer and a homer by Barry Foote.
