An error by Tim Foli, the Pirates' newly acquired shortstop, enabled the Astros to gain a 3-2 victory. Craig Reynolds doubled in the eighth inning and when Foli booted a grounder off the bat of Bob Watson, Reynolds scored the decisive tally. The triumph was the Astros' seventh in their last eight games.
