The third RBI of game by Eddie Murray lifted the Orioles to an 8-7, 10-inning victory over the Mariners. The Mariners had tied the contest in the bottom of the ninth on a two-run pinch-homer by Joe Simpson.

Billy Smith opened the Birds' 10th with a single and was forced at second by Al Bumbry, who moved to second on a single by Rich Dauer. A walk to Larry Harlow loaded the bases and Murray then hit an infield groundout while Bumbry scored. [The Sporting News]
