Posting their 12th victory in their last 13 games, the Orioles topped the Mariners, 3-1. Ken Singleton began the Orioles' attack with a solo homer in the first inning. Two other runs followed in the sixth on a walk to Dave Skaggs, a double by Al Bumbry and singles by Rich Dauer and Eddie Murray. The latter extended his hitting streak to 14 games.
