| A dramatic grand slam by pinch-hitter Roger Freed with two out in the 11th inning lifted the Cardinals to a 7-6 triumph over the Astros. After the Astros scored three times in the top of frame to take a 6-3 lead, Tony Scott began the Cards' rally with a single and after one out, Ken Oberkfell and Steve Swisher walked to load the bases.
