Notching their 10th straight home victory, the Expos beat the Dodgers, 7-3. The Expos' first two runs came in the opening inning on singles by Warren Cromartie and Tony Perez, a double by Gary Carter and an error by Dodger shortstop Bill Russell.

The Expos locked up the decision with another pair in the fifth. Andre Dawson doubled and scored on a single by Rodney Scott, who took second on the throw and also scored when Cromartie singled. Cromartie set a club record by hitting safely in his 19th consecutive game, breaking the record established by Pepe Mangual. [The Sporting News]
