Picking up his first victory since April 12 of last year, Moose Haas hurled the Brewers past the Indians, 6-1. Haas was sidelined for most of last season with a torn muscle in his pitching arm. Ben Oglivie helped send Indians' starter Wayne Garland to his third straight defeat when he lined a bases-loaded single in the first inning to produce two runs.

With a homer in the second, Bobby Bonds became one of two men in major league history to hit 300 homers and steal 300 bases -- Willie Mays is the other. [The Sporting News]
