The Giants smashed three homers in one inning and powered their way to a 7-5 victory over the Mets. Ed Kranepool batted in three runs for the Mets, who took a 4-2 lead with three runs in the fourth inning.

The Giants erupted in their half, starting with a homer by Darrell Evans. After Marc Hill singled, Johnnie LeMaster also hit for the circuit. Ed Halicki popped up, but Bill North followed with the Giants' third round-tripper. LeMaster also batted in another run in the game with a sacrifice fly. [The Sporting News]
