Soderholm batted in four runs, including three with his first homer of the season, to help the White Sox defeat the Rangers, 7-6. The White Sox scored four runs in the fourth inning on a double by Claudell Washington and consecutive two-out singles by Soderholm, Alan Bannister, Jorge Orta, Lamar Johnson and Greg Pryor before Washington and Chet Lemon singled in the fifth and Soderholm homered to decide the outcome.
