A four-run outburst in the fifth inning carried the Dodgers to a 5-2 decision over the Mets. After Steve Yeager led off the fifth with a single and advanced to second when Met pitcher Pete Falcone threw late to second on Burt Hooton's sacrifice bunt, Davey Lopes walked to load the sacks and Bill Russell singled to center to score Yeager and Hooton.
