A two-out, two-run double by George Foster snapped a 4-4 tie in the seventh inning and triggered the Reds to a 7-4 victory over the Cubs. The two-bagger scored Junior Kennedy and Dave Concepcion, both aboard via walks. The Reds added a run in the eighth on a walk to Johnny Bench, a sacrifice, and a single by Dave Collins.
