. . . where the 1970s live forever!
A one-hitter by Mike Norris carried the A's to a 4-2 triumph over the Orioles. Norris had a no-hitter for 6 1/3 innings when Eddie Murray reached first on an error by first baseman Dave Revering. After Lee May drew a walk, Gary Roenicke lined a two-run double to center that Dwayne Murphy just missed on a diving attempt.

The A's broke the 2-2 tie in the ninth. Wayne Gross, who homered earlier in the game, drew a leadoff walk, went to third on a single by Revering and scored on a single by Mario Guerrero. Jeff Newman then closed the scoring with a sacrifice fly. [The Sporting News]
