Blasting off with four runs in the first inning, the Dodgers won their seventh straight game, beating the Expos, 8-2. With one out in the first, Bill Russell singled and moved to third on a double by Dusty Baker.

An infield grounder by Steve Garvey scored Russell and a double by Ron Cey plated Baker. Joe Ferguson followed with a homer. Davey Lopes also homered with a man on base when the Dodgers added three runs in the fourth. [The Sporting News]
