A two-hitter by Rick Waits enabled the Indians to edge the Blue Jays, 1-0. The lone tally came in the first frame when Paul Dade singled with one out and took second as Rick Manning walked. Andre Thornton grounded to short and when second baseman Dave McKay let the throw get away from him on an attempted force play, Dade raced home. [The Sporting News]
